I have done the tracker conversion on the front . I plan on adapting the same brackets and using tracker parts on the rear. currently the brakes work decent but the rears have worn out so might as well do discs there too. looking at the fsm there are two valves in behind the tube seats in the master. to remove them i guess the seats get ruined. any one know what the valve pressure is on a factory drum set up on a 74? If they need to come out where would I source the tube seats at?

I would really consider the Ford fusion/edge with electric parking brake
    Metcalfs Electric Emergency Brake Kit
When I get my junk back together this is high on the list

I’m running 4 wheel discs from R&P with a roughly 79 front disc cj master. It’s been many beers since installed but I’m positive we didn’t do anything to the master in terms of residual valve removal. How that works I have no idea but it’s worked great for I’m guessing about 8 years.

On a side note are you using Brennan’s Garage brackets?

yes have already done the fronts on both my jeeps and one on the front of a 62 scout. the brackets look like they will work on the rear with a little modification, and some hacking of the backing plates from the drums to fill the space behind the bearing retainer.

    Jeff,
You do not need to mess with any residual valves or seats in your MC. You need one of these , DISC / DISC , for sure.
