Decisions on rear winch mounting etc

Right now I have a Tulsa PTO winch on the back of my junk, as well as a Belleview on the front. None the less, the rear winch is more important, as it's more likely to get stuck and easier to pull out in reverse then forward. I don't like where the PTO winch sits or how it's mounted right now though. It hangs low, and is just all around combersome. I'd also like to add a spare tire mount in the future. I have several options, stick with the PTO and put it under the bed and between the frame rails make a bumper to match the front, and put the fairlead through it.
I also have a Ramsey electric, about a 12,000 pounder, and an 8274 to choose from. I'd like one to stay on my truck, I could go electric if I wanted to. The 8274 won't work too good under the bed, as it's upright, or outside the body...As it's upright. The Ramsey on the other hand is better suited to my truck (1500 GMC Z71 ext cab long bed) then the 8274 but it's a lay down style and would be pretty cool on the back....

And now all of a sudden I'm thinking lengthen the rear frame about 10" and stretch the wheel base while I'm at it

I am not sure of the necessity of a rear winch unless you are skidding logs or something similar. I have never gotten into a situation were extraction with a snatch block and the proper rigging couldn't get me out with a standard front mounted winch. It is a lot of extra weight to pack around 2 winches. Just out of curiosity, how much does that Ramsay beast weigh?

just buy a snatch block, tree saver and a clevis .I vote a rear winch is not needed .

I've toyed with the idea of putting one of those small, light, fast, rockcrawling winches with synthetic rope out back on mine. I think that'd be the easiest to tuck in somewhere.

 Holy heavy winches Batman!!!!!! Is that dog off a big off a big wrecker or something? I am not sure how much need there would be for a rear winch but, I always thought it was cool. I like bed mounted winches on pick up trucks too. I really don't know why.
