Battery tray - special bracket

    Hello.

    I have this battery tray for my 1978 CJ-6, came from Kentrol.
    On the left side of the picture you can see a bracket. I have some ideas how to use it but maybe someone knows why is it there and for what purpose.

    I screwed a kc light relay into one of the holes.

    looks like the same one in the wifes yj hers has all kinds of junk bolted there...relays and unused harness plugs

    I will probably bolt the master switch for the battery there, to cut the (-) line.
    Any more ideas before i start to work on it?

    I was hoping for a good answer to this question... I used this battery tray on my CJ-6, and I wondered ... still wonder what goes there. :?

    Look at pics of the engine compartment of late model CJ's. There is a diagnostic plug that sits there. It has a yellow cover. Probably started when Jeep introduced the rudimentary computer that controlled the BBD carburetor. Stone age equivalent of an OBDII diagnostic port.
