aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

I have a tilt column out of a CJ. It is wiggley and has some broken parts inside. I was going to send it out to have it rebuilt. Any suggestions of a good place to use?

I don't mind doing it myself but I can't find all the little parts...

Can't help with who can do your rebuild, but if you change your mind, it's pretty easy doing it yourself. I picked a few parts from local junk yards out of pretty much any GM tilt column from the 70's-80's.

If you go that route, try this web page, I found it very useful... http://www.epiccomputer.com/dale/jeepjunk/tilt/tilt.html and I also used this one... http://www.fieros.de/en/articles/steering.html.

Sometimes you can find the small parts online from some of the Chevy or GM specific suppliers, like here... http://www.steeringcolumnservices.com/gm-buick-cadillac-chevrolet-oldsmobile-pontiac/internal-parts.php
