i got a pull type clutch slave cylinder in the mail today. while measuring to find out how to mount it to my T14 i noticed that one of the raised bosses on the transmission lines up perfectly. novaks site says the bosses are for side shifting actuators. my question is, are the bosses strong enough to drill and tap to mount slave cyl to?

That's what I did. Just don't drill he whole way through into the inside of the case. You may need a tap for a blind hole. I'll try to snap a pic if you like.

Those look like the standard Wilwood pull type slaves. You can get a similar one from Speedway as well.

i was going to get the one from speedway but im not a fan of purple even though it wont be seen. i know that sounds stupid. the southwest speed clyinder came in yellow but the listing shows black. the machining and finish look good.

Here's a couple of shots of mine. I took a few more if you need/want to see them. Mine looks very much like one you picture above. I got through a friend who raced dirt track so, it's it's race car stuff, I'm guessing like this Speedway place you guys talk about. It has worked very well for many years, even with the HD clutch I put in (mistake). No runs, no drips, no errors. Slight leak from the resevoir on the firewall, though. Hope it helps. Cold out in the garage....brrrrrrrrrrr.

I'm using a different trans than you so I had to make a bracket. This is a Wilwood slave, looks like it is a little longer also.
