dana 30 questions

    i found a narrow track dana 30 out of a '80 CJ that im thinking of buying. it is only the housing and spindles. can i use a carrier out of any dana 30 like from a XJ or YJ? also will any of the disk brake parts from my dana 27 swap over to the 30 like the calipers, caliper brackets, or hubs?

    I would hold out for a complete axle.

    x2 on what Scott said. YJ and XJ pinions are shorter.

    i was thinking of using new gears and bearings and an open carrier from a xj since there are lots of those in the local junk yards. i would prefer a complete axle but narrow track axles are hard to comeby in my area. on the plus side i can build it as my budget allows.
