Just read through this whole thread. Very well done.
I was wondering where you got the sticker on the back. "CJ-5 - I built mine". I would love to get one too. I have just finished mine and it is a 74.

I got the exhaust done last week, looks and sounds great! I thought I had licked my transfer case leak, but apparently not! I drove it around last week, with nary a drop coming out... o_O

That's a big leak. Can you pin point where it's coming from?

Yes, took the pan off and the rear yoke and housing, then noticed that the front yoke was the main culprit. Have a new one on the way. On another note, got the steering box off to have it rebuilt. Will get to remounting the steering column.

I'm getting ready to head into a 62 CJ5 build this coming fall and I just read through your whole postings. I got to tell you a few things about your posting. I just or like you, just about done with my 47 CJ2a and like yours it was a complete revamp. The bugs just keep coming out of the woodwork and it gets frustrating as hell. Mine was hydraulic clutch failed right away, power steering lines burst, exhaust to close to fuel pump and lines, forgot to thread seal lower TC bolts (now a little drip now and then) the list goes on and on. But keep swatting those bugs and eventually they give up and die off. Love the color, like the stance. Thanks for letting us see your build, its been a pleasure to read and see. And don't stop, we want an update and some wheeling pics. :p

Haha, neat 'whirlygig' paint design on the power steering pump pulley...:D

Does it become a pink blur at speed?

I had a leak from the transfer case, this is the ring at the exit where the yoke connect. Notbing can stop the leak.
I made it changed at the local pro shop because too difficult for me, better with an elevator.
    Now qbsolutely no leak nowhere.
I just myself changed the yoke with all his nice little needles jumping in all ways.:shock:

Well chit! 3 weeks ago started her up and no problems. Wants to take it for a drive and to my welder to look it over and started but would not idle. I had all kinds of crazy in the bowl, have now drained the entire fuel system and starting over. Never a dull moment.:banghead:
