Jumper Terminals

My electric koenig is equipped with a set of battery jumper terminals as seen here:
Lots of them on ebay:

Wondering if anyone ever seen a female fitting that fits directly onto these jumper posts.

 

When I'm doing a jumper cable or charging system terminals I like the female receptacle to be at the fixed end and somewhat hidden and not exposed?
Much like the receptacles that were found in the old Lincoln arc welders......Then the cable can have a male at one end and a spring clamp at the other..........or you simply plug in a male end by itself into the female and use standard jumper cables......... Just a thought.

 

Yeah Tarry that's almost exactly what I have in mind.
From what I can tell the remote jumper terminals never have a female connector as the are intended for use with regular jump cables.
I don't like the idea of a male post sticking out where some idiot can easily short out the battery with a screwdriver.

I'm thinking to buy a couple of the Lincoln ground leads like these:

Then mount female dinse panel connectors on the solenoid box.

 

I'm not sure if that old stuff I used is even available anymore..........I used to find it , at of all places a good Ace Hardware store? I bought a bunch of it at one time and pretty much used it up on different projects.
Seems to me it was old Lincoln arc welding female panel terminals.........but back in the day it could have been Miller , Airco , Hobart , Fornay or maybe it was just universal for the time period?????

Below on this page they do have some Female panel terminals , but they only list them in Black................Let me know if you find some of those old Red / Black panel ends and related parts I would also like to get some.

Bingo............This may help you........looks as if those were at least used on some older Miller welders.........If there is a guy or company around your town that works on old welders , you might get lucky.....or even be able to cannibalize an old machine.

I have a welding supplier that had lots of old junk...........I'll check with him next time I'm out that way.

Those Miller's are what I used to make remote jumpers. The remote box is on the left of the welder.


And those are also the same ones Premier Power Welder uses. I can use my welding cables for the jumpers. Just used a Tweco connector so I can substitute another clamp for the rod holder.

I also converted my old Craftsman buzz box, my shop built AC/DC converter, and the high frequency unit to Millers so all the cables can be used on all. Not sure how many amps would be left with 200' of leads, but could be out that far. Some of that cable was acquired when ASARCO auctioned off the old Anaconda smelter and is OOO.

Where were you getting those ends........I had a bunch years back but don't seem to be able to find them anymore.

 

In short, went down to the local Miller dealer and plucked them off the peg board. I was trying to find you the part numbers (still have a new set of each black and red someplace) but alas, can't find either those or the receipt. Will look some more this evening.

Hey Ken , FYI.............On those Miller receptacle plugs, both female and male ends that were referenced above ...............after an exhaustive search at this old welding shop not far from me , I did find some in partially opened packages...........I also did a search on e-bay and found more, but the best price out there believe it or not is the Miller Electric parts distributor at Miller 4 less.com

The Summit MSD-4376 are nothing more than Anderson connectors, any good automotive wiring shop should be able to provide them, also eBay. The red and black individual receptacles are available from Tweco, available at any welding supply. I prefer the Andersons for jumper cables, no chance of reversed polarity issues due to mud obliterating colors or emergency type situations. They are made in many different amp ratings. Good luck!
