managed to suck the remote for my 8274 out of my hand under the tire and into the mud,in doing so ripped the wires out of the hand control. the end looks like a molded unit that threads into the back of the handle.couldn't find just the wire part, anyone know where i can get one without buying the whole controller?

I needed just the plug end and found that winch manufacturers do not sell parts, rather the complete control from plug to hand switch.
Probably has to do with liability.

Sterician - Just the wire? If it were mine I would just get some outdoor 3 wire electric cable from a big box store.

NCRenll - As for the plug, for the older 8274 with 4 prongs the plug and end are just the old fashioned trailer plugs. Trust me on that, I've replaced both ends for my 8274 build. For those look up Hopkins 48305 for the receiver end and Hopkins 638325 for the cable end (those might be specific numbers to Northern Tool and Supply).

nope it was in the handle the wire was molded into a piece of the rear of the handle, cut the wire and reamed the hole so the wire would go back in new terminal ends and im good to go.
