Cj2a Sears Top Info

I just picked up a sears hard top. Can someone give me the measurement from the top of the tub to the top of the windshield frame? Also if anyone has some pictures of a sears standard aluminum top? Specifically the windshield top area and the rear of the tub. I wondering if my windshield frame has been altered. I am trying to get some reference points to mount it. Also I would like to remove the sides from the top and reseal it. Is it better to mount it in pieces or as a whole? thanks for the info!

 

I believe the 2a and military mb/gpw Jeeps used a filler piece on the top of the windshield so that the same top fit all the early flatfenders.

I was wondering that....because it seems like there will be a space between the top and the windsheild. My top didnt come with thtat so I will have to make something. I will try to post some pictures. I am in the middle of making some repairs on it at the moment. Its not in bad shape, but some of the seams need re-sealed and a few pieces need straightening. I cant complain thought. I picked up two complete tops for $250.
