WAIT....maybe I should buy another Jeep ?

 

I'd really like to see someone swap the frame in 20 hours.
That would be a challenge on a new CJ, let alone one that is several years old.

Do those times include returning incorrect and/or poor quality reproduction parts and fabricating special tools that are NLA?

It's not really about actual time. It's about what was paid, regardless of time.

 

That's exactly why auto mechanic is only my hobby. I think I'm a decent mechanic, I'm just slow. By the job I'd go broke in no time.

BTW, if someone brought me a brand new flatty or early 5 and said it was mine if I could swap the frame in 20 hrs, you bet your butt I'd make it happen!

 

Wow. Not so unreasonable. 20 hours is half a week.

We amateur mechanics don't work like the line mechanics did (or do). Working the line will keep you thin.

 

Multiply by 0.6 thats what you have to do it for if its warranty. R&R a tcase with overhaul 2.3 hours. Good luck.
