Trying to find the name of the color that my 71 was from the factory. I have no numbers or codes and all my searches have come up either empty or showing later model years.
So, it was a metallic brown color. Kind of a medium brown. I just got some parts that have the same color on them and it got me wondering.
    Anybody got anything?

I think you are looking at "Bronze Mist Poly" , used by Kaiser from '66 to '70 ('70 is the newest my paint code go to). The Jeep code # is 388, Martin Senour #32Y-7816, or Ditzler/PPG #22666.
There is also another color, "Burnished Bronze Poly", Ditzler #23315, used '69 and '70, but my info doesn't go past '70. I don't have a chip for this second color.

393 Gold Beige Metallic looks kind of close but, that seems to be a '69 color.

Here is a few quick shots of the color I'm asking about. This happens to be a grill from a March 1970 dated CJ5. Same color that was found on my 1971. Not sure if this helps or not.
