    This might help Catalog

Read down to "some part numbers and applications." It makes a lot of "clocking," but you can take these alternators apart and easily clock them to whatever direction you want with a special tool (a wood or plastic toothpick).

  2. Ok, got a 10si alternator this evening. One wire hook up I think. There's 1 terminal on the back and a recessed spot with 2 single blade plug connectors. How should I hook this thing up? I've got a alternator power wire coming from my aftermarket harness and a alternator exciter wire also.

  3. The recessed spot for the 2 plugs is on the side

If it has the 2-blade plug on the side, it's not a one-wire.

  5. Can I make it work? I have struggled with electronics forever.

  6. Looks just like the ones in those pics in the link you posted.

One-wire is a special configuration that starts charging at a low RPM. The 3-wire is quite simple (to me) and has been covered over and over on this forum and on many others. With 3 wires, it employs an exciter wire from the ignition switch. Sense wire, excite wire, charge wire. Not sure I can add anything to what's already been written.

  8. Thanks, I found a diagram on the painless wiring site. All there colors have matched my harness so far. Exciter wire goes to the 1 blade and power wire goes to the 2 blade. I'm going to have to modify my bracket but shouldn't be a problem
