    Hi All,

I am trying to rebuild my T-90 following the Rick Stivers Videos and guide. I have the T-90 apart, cleaned up and new parts as needed. When I started to put everything back together I am having an issues with the Synchronizer. The Hub and Sleeve look to be in very good condition, no cracks or chips. So I ordered 2 sets of springs and 2 sets of "Struts" (not sure what they are called) just in case. When I assemble the Synchronizer according to the videos you should be able to slide the hub back and forth maybe a half inch or so to either side, I cannot get it to go more than 1/8 an inch to either side. The struts just will not move so the 1/8 inch movement is the amount of movement the hub will go without them sliding. If I tap it with a piece of wood it will go the 1/2 in either direction so I know it isn't blocked but I cannot move it with my hands like the guys in the you tube videos. I Place Assembly Lube are over the backs of the struts, this didn't help. So I took one set of the struts and filed off the little bump on the back, this fixed it but I know that this isn't right.

The hub and sleeve seem to be in good condition, I am sure that I am installing the springs and struts correctly. If I order a new one just seems it will be the same. I tired different springs and it just dosen't seem to help. I am completely puzzled by this do any of you folks have an idea as to the problem. I

    Thanks for any ideas....

The fact that you have new springs and detent bars will make them stiff.I have had ones like that I couldn't move by hand but the shift fork should be able to do the job. mike

Hi Thanks for the feedback. I am glad to here that someone else has had this issue, I guess I should be good to go ahead and rebuild it then.

    Thanks,

I've seen recent replacement "struts" (or theose 3 small bars) that don't fit right or are a little different shape, where they don't really work well or properly. The original pieces, or old stock replacements work as they should.
