That’s what the worrying thing is. You never know when it’ll give out

If a bearing is making a noise other than whatever noise a new bearing would make....... it’s already given out...... it’s now up to you to decide how long it will last and how many other parts you will allow it to take out with it.....

Just a thought, is the noise only when jeep is rolling with weight on the wheels? Have you checked closely your wheels? all lug nuts tight, maybe loose lug studs in the flange, maybe loose rivets in wheel center ( if yours are that type) or even a cracked wheel rim, if you are running tubes.:study: If all else fails to reveal your problem, completely remove that new rear drive shaft assy from the jeep, place it on your work bench and closely examine it for any binding or looseness of all joints especially the cv joint. Then lock your front hubs and drive up the street in 4 HI and see if noise persist while the rear drive shaft is removed.

Whoops. Sorry I forgot to update. I talked with my auto teacher and had him take a listen and he was 100% convinced it was just the brakes. Cheap material will squeak like what I am hearing. That explains why I didn’t find anything wrong when I took the drum off and checked.

    Thanks all for your input(y)
