Well I bought a used eaton brand air compressor. Was from an estate sale. it ts a big one with a 120 gallon tank, 3 cyl two stage compressor, and has a 7.5 hp electric motor. It will fill the tank from 0 psi to 175 psi in just under 4 minutes. It will cycle on at 125psi and off at 175psi in about 45 seconds. I was unable to get any owners manual or paper work with it at all. could anyone have a guess how much volume this compressor would be capable of at say100 psi? (cubic ft. per minuite). does not have a spec. label anywhere I can find. IMG_0661.JPG

    From the Quincy compressor website...

"Most well-designed compressors produce approximately 4 CFM at 100 PSIG per unit of horsepower."

Specifications on Eaton site says 26 CFM at 100 PSI.

My Quincy gives me 17.7 at 100 PSI.
Never at a loss for air power. Runs a sandblaster well.

You will have all the air you need with this compressor.

Thanks for all your replies. Art thanks for the link to eaton compressors. Thru that site I found that it is capable of 26 cu. ft. per min at 100psi. Glenn I did manage to find a readable model # on a paper tag attached to a line fitting, armed with that info I was able to locate more info on the eaton site. The unit is about a 2007 year model and also confirmed the 26 cu. ft. rating. Also I found that it is a commercial grade compressor that sells for about 3200 dollars new and came with a 5 year bumper to bumper parts and labor warranty. It seems to run well. I paid 1200 for it.
I have also been shopping for a sand blast cabinet. Located one on the CL near Atlanta and purchased it as well. The cabinet has a large work area 25 x48 inside with a raise type hood. The guy I got it from said it needed about 25 cu. ft. of air at 90 psi. I paid 750 for it with about 40 pounds of media and a dust vacuum unit. I should be good to go with my new compressor. Jeep rebuild getting closer.:D IMG_0739.JPG

aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

Since I got a media blasting cabinet and a parts washer I don't work with dirty parts anymore. Clean and repaint as needed. My life is much easier with those couple tools. And a thread cleaning kit. Those are the next best thing.

    Nice air compressor.
