so I need some amount of stump/rock protection but didnt want to have anything big and gaudy. love the clean lines of a flatty PLUS that weird indent at the fender is cool. so I came up with this. figured Id share. its a cut down 1/8" rectangular 2"x3" stock, with a 3/16" slider face welded on to take the brunt of impact. kind of like the result. very trick. since they angle under and back, you really only see the thin line of the point. they stick out just enough to keep things from hitting sheet metal

Another "nice job". I made the ones on my 3B back in the early 70's, sort of like Big Willy's but instead of being bolted to sheet metal, there is an 1 1/2" square tube "sub frame" behind them. That said, the exhaust skid plates take almost all the hits before the hard stuff gets to the tub sills.
