I’m hoping someone can help me out...so my 1968 CJ5 was missing taillights and I bought the Omix Round Lights as the replacements. I’m trying to figure out the wiring harness, I have 4 lines coming down the driver side to the back a red one that runs all the way over to the to the passenger side, a blue wire and two yellow wires that stop on the driver side. I know one of the yellow wires is for the reverse lights because I traced it all the way to the top of the transmission. But don’t know what the other two go to...I know one controls both sides but not sure which one.

Running lights are one wire common to both sides. Turn left and Turn right are different two wires, but also function as brake lights.

Got a $2 test light or a multi-meter? Turn on the headlight switch, see which wire goes hot.

    I agree with pete
    get a test light
someone ran there own wires to rear
    standard light wiring
    Brown - tail lights
    Green - R turn
    Yellow - L turn
    now your aftermarket lights
    one wire is running light
    one wire is turn/brake
