Repair Stock Radiator?

    Is it worth repairing a stock radiator on a 1970 cj5? Mine has a LOT of leaks. I know new ones are readily available, but I’m not sure if it’s worth trying to save the original one or not.

    Any thoughts?

    Just went thru this on my 69 and 71 have wide radiators 22 inches and aftermarket hard to find. Champion makes one ,
    Local radiator shops want 450 to 650for recoring.

    Past discussions on this may be worth searching. Opinions differ.

    New radiators may be cheaper, but generally the older ones are far better quality and more durable. A good old fashioned radiator shop can repair anything, if you can locate one. Members here have reported wide variation in prices quoted.

    Assuming both tanks are good, you can get a 3 row core if you rebuild. That's what I did and very pleased.
