Ordered a T14 and dana 18 mounting bumper/insulator/isolater thingy from walks

 

TWO HUNDRED AND NINE DOLLARS FOR A GROUP 24 BATTERY

 

Normal around here. Over $300 for an Optima.

 

Christ, I work at a new car dealership and sell our good batteries for $150....cheaper ones for $119.

 

New point unit and plugs didn't get me going. The lower one is the new one, should it have an arc burn on the side?

 

Burn mark on condenser not good.

I just bought 2 batteries for my diesel,$450….California for you!

 

New points/condensor thing and plugs, 42 dollars. Ordered a set of plug wires, 30 dollars.

I think keeping a running tab on cost is a bad idea here. I'm already at 809 dollars above the original purchase price

 

You could probably save money buying from Rockauto and/or Amazon. You can look up part numbers on Rockauto then search for them on amazon.

 

True, but I want parts today. Once the engine is running I will be more selective. But it's my new toy, I want to play with it today, not in 4 days when parts arrive

 

Same brand different unit. I swapped it at the store.

 

That's used to 'Test' the condenser in MFg.

 

Ordered a carb rebuild kit, fuel pump and fuel filter.

 

Traded my two new intermediate fenders that came with the jeep for a missing driver side fender, + 100.00 bucks, so that's now one less thing to worry about.
Did a quick test fit yesterday and with some surgery to make it clear the shock mount area on the frame, should be good to go!

I think it's a lot less hassle . installing bell on transmission first
clutch fork doesn't fall off
