Looking at one of these. Anyone ever use one? One I found is 32”, for a manual transmission and tilt. How will this length work? Steering is moved out front. I know there will be some wiring for trim signals, horn, flashers but that’s not too big of a deal

    Thanks

I have the Ididit 32" tilt in my tux. Fits well, you can move it up or down a little when you make your floor mount.

I used the Flaming River 32”, length works out good.

You may already know this but after a lot of deliberation and internet scouring, I found that it was going to be a pain in the neck to make a GM column work with a stock steering wheel because the splines won't marry up correctly. You will either need to make an adapter using the end of your orifinal steering column or get a new steering wheel. Save your original steering column in case you want to make an adapter.

Depending on how you like to build them, I also like the shorter 28" from Summit - usually a whole lot less money too.

An Ididit tilt 32” is great. I’m 5’9” and have been running one with a 13" Grant steering wheel since my PS conversion in 1998. Well worth the money IMHO…

I used a Flaming River 30" in my 3B and that has worked well. Part of the equation will be how you want to secure the base of the column, as in above or beneath the floor. Saginaw conversion?

Thanks for info. I will not use the stock wheel. Being 6’6” and 300, I need room in this thing. I picked the column up I found. Slightly used for 125.00. Brushed stainless. Don’t think I got hurt.
Steve, I’ll check your info out!

    thanks again guys
