    Put a fresh set of coveralls on in the morning and crawl around the engine room all day and come out covered in crud sometimes we figured they just hired us to wiggle thru all the tight spots to clean the place up

    I had that guy in my division in the Navy as well.. Sort of funny how when mission critical equipment was broken the command always knew exactly where to find me, but when the awards for fixing said equipment were presented they suddenly forgot who I was. They did however remember the guy in the shiny clean uniform as the guy who made the repairs. My crew reminded me of this daily for the next several years.

    Great guy, I've met him. He does woodworking craft and runs a public "Maker Space" in Brattleboro Vermont. Good man.
