That looks to be in better shape than you'd imagine, given how it was used.

I guess you don’t need a rear counterweight with that back there!
Rare could be used to describe this rig.

That looks like a reasonable deal! It would be neat to have that to use occasionally.

That sure looks like it's squatting in the rear a bit. I wonder what the trencher weighs and also how it is trying to get parts for it.

I keep looking and scratching my head; why would anyone want that? I've seen the vintage flyers/ads with the trencher kit on a CJ, and there's one that (I think) makes the vintage Jeep rallies around Ohio, but that kit looks self-propelled, not PTO powered like the original. I guess if you're a collector with deep pockets.... Good luck to the seller.

The Jeep a Trench is an Auburn Gear unit. We have a much smaller version of the Auburn Trencher we bought new for a Kubota B6000 (2 cyl/12hp) back in the late ‘70s. Its a very well made unit, and parts were available at least 10 years ago, but they’re no cheap! The chain boom on ours is only about 6’ long, and the attachment/unit weighs about 650lbs. Look at the boom length on the FC’s trencher. I would guess at least 1200lbs.

I think it sold a few days ago. They were asking $6500.
