CJ-2 guys - need a quick measurement

    sasquatch I'm big in Japan.

Looking for the radius of the curve of the cowl. In other words, on the body in front of the windshield, can someone measure the distance from the top of the body to the bottom of the curved section?

Oh yeah, and how much is covered up by the hood? Looks to be 2-3 inches (forward), right?

You talking about from the seam up?

    Since I don't have the patience for a thousand words... here's a picture. ;)

Not sure what the radius is, but your length measurement is off. On my 3A anyway it's only about an inch. Pretty sure the 2A is the same.

Your picture isn't proportional. Grandpa Jeep is right - that lip is only about 1 inch wide.

No help on the other measurements, I sold my flattie a while back.

Got a 2A and 3A body like said above it's only about an inch. Other than that I'm still not sure what you want. Be glad to measure it if I did.

Well the picture is of a repro fiberglass body, so it doesn't surprise me that it's different. I'll try to put together a clearer picture of the radius I need tomorrow. I'm bushed right now.

I'm not sure why you are asking, but jut last week I was at a fellow's house and he wanted to do some horse trading for some jeep body parts he had.

I declined, but he had some new parts as follows

    Cowl -
    dashboard
    upper firewall panel
kick panels L & R - these are the ones with the small 'step' on them and the body drain hole
wheelhousetop, front, and side (R & L) each one was three pieces
    rear corners

These parts were all in new condition, obviously repro from somewhere.
They would all need welding together and would make about 1/2 of a body tub.

so if you are needing a cowl, he could be a source.

Send me a PM and I'll arrange for you two to talk.
