custom header?

  1. any one built custom "shorty" style headers for a v6? and have pics they wanna share.

    Allen...that's a thing of beauty!! Did you buy a kit? If not, did you have the flanges water jet cut? Did you buy pre-bent elbows, or bend them yourself?

    Rich I purchased prebent elbows in a few different radius's and cut and fitted them to what you see.

    The flanges were CNC milled out of 3/8 steel I got free from an old friend of mine.I just took the gaskets and measured them up and made a progam and wala.

    It was a fun challange I would do again they came out fairly well except for the collectors they look a little beat up with the way I formed them but they are functional so there good.

    I was going for same length headers but got close enough length headers it is very hard to get them exact I believe I was within +-2 or so inches.

    Check out the link it has more pics of the heep I need to put some more up to date pics but enjoy.

    Mike I am using the stock hardware I cut the and modified the harness and had the computer reproggramed by an outfit in Texas.

    I dont know how or if it runs yet but I hoping to some time soon R)
