yea thanks n6ifp.....ive read that several times that's where i got my parts list i was hoping someone had a picture of the brackret before they put it on the knuckle......or after they put it on the knuckle but before they put the hub on.....i also was curious about the chevy hub nut tool....if i would need that 4 prong socket///

  4. Yes, take the spindle nut socket. Hub has to come off to get the caliper bracket.

maybe a dumb question but why are your caliper mounts facing forward? shouldn't they (calipers) be on the back side of the axle?

unless you have it on the rear axle i suppose

    nickmil In mothballs.

    That's on his rear axle.

You can use pretty much any 1/2 ton GM bracket from '73 up with solid axle, just get corresponding hardware/calipers. You can also use Wagoneer and 1/2 ton Jeep pu as well. They are the same bracket.....

Hey I'm a doughball I looked at your build thread and your front caliper brackets look different than the ones on your rear axle that you posted on here .... are they different brackets or did you modify the front ones? ??
