    wow
it has been a long time since i've posted on this great forum
    have a couple of Q's
first, did they ever make exact replacement seat for the '75?

and 2nd, i'm installing a HEI distributor on my 258
but need to know where to tap the keyed 12 volt power
i'd like to due this off the ignition switch but
will probably strain my neck trying to get to it.
does anyone have a diagram of what each wire is
that comes off the ignition switch?
    thanks

As suggested in responses to your previous (circa 2005) thread, new questions should be started as a new thread. You will get more responses that way, and it saves our members from reading (40+) 7-year-old posts to get to your current question.

To that end I have started this new thread for your latest question. Please follow suit for future questions.
Thanks, and I hope this helps you obtain the answers you are looking for.

Seats - You could buy replacement seats through the Jeep parts department that were exact replacements of the originals. Any other seat will be different is some way.

HEI - Why not use the original switched wire to the coil?

I replaced the seats on my 75 with a set of Corbeau seats. I have seen OEM replacement seats in a few of the catalogs.. The seats I installed required modification of the seat brackets.

I installed low back smittybilt seats specified for 55-75 on my factory brackets, but i had to drill new holes in the seats to line up with the brackets.

I used the low back Bestop Trailmax seats. They're OK, but nowhere near as comfy as the stock seats.

I'm going to take the stock ones to a shop to get a price on recovering them.
