    I can't read the diagram you posted. It's likely a copy from the Haynes or Chiltons manual. These manuals are known for putting lots of different years into the same book, and including a lot of mistakes. 1974 wiring is very different from 1975.

    Did you look at the '76 diagram I linked above? I posted the '76 diagram above, and apparently you chose to go and look at other sources, and got further confused. That diagram is from the factory manual, and is close to what you will find in your '75. If you are not happy with that, then buy a friggin' reprint of the factory manual! Information is not always free, even though the internet may make you think so. If you want an accurate source, the '75 Jeep factory manual source you need.

    My patience with you is wearing thin. Installing an aftermarket HEI distributor is not a difficult job. If you can't handle this job, there are professional mechanics that will do it for you.

    installed HEI w/o problems
    turned out the wiring to the Ignition Module
    was 4 separate wires;
    red/wht, green, blue, yellow
    contained in the main harness
    leading back to the coil and distributor

    HEI slipped in on 1st try
    have 14.8 volts at the incoming hot wire
    so definitely no ballast wire or resistor

    did find the tip of my old distribuor was worn at the edges
    is this just wear
    or is this OEM?

    thanks
