    and can post a picture.

my boys dont like the stock lok of my 6 and i think about wider tires, i dont want 33" because everybody here runs 33".
    i think 31" fit without a lift.

is there a chance that i can get the 12.5 wide tire covered by the original fleares? if yes what wheel?

    thx

My take is you don't need 10" rims for 12.5's. They actually work better on 8" rims. I going to guess you will need 3" flares to cover and you will want a wheel with approximately 3.25" of backspacing or less. 3.25" will still allow the front tires to hit the springs at full turn so you need to adjust the stops and loose a bit of the turning radius-or find wheels with even less backspacing.

Mickey Thompson used to make Baja Belted in 31X13.5.
A friend put them on his truck and took them right back off saying they wondered like crazy, then tried to sell them to me like I wanted that for my Jeep.

BFG made a 31X12.50 for a short time some years ago.

almost every brand makes a 31x12.50. I have ran BFG, pro comp, mickeys and an off brand in that size. As said above, you dont need 10" rims for the 12.50's but its easier to get the off-set you need with that size rim. I ran 33x12.50's on my jeep with 15x10 wheels which had 3.25" back spacing and they would just barely clear the springs, but not hit. When i went with 13.50's, they would rub but not the 12.50's. And unless your running a wider axle then the cj narrow tracks, then the stock flare will cover them just fine. By the way, have I mentioned that your 6 is a beauty?

Or Mickey Thompsons, and maybe Dick Cepeks? It's a pretty popular size for dune-running where floatation is more important than ground clearance.

Originally had 31X1050X15 MTS Goodrich and changed over to General 33X2150X15 and 10" rims as pictured below. Have excellent off-road experience in sand and mud.

But, going back to 31X1050X15 on my 10" rims and thinking of using Interco or Bulldog mud tires. Maybe selling (or trade?) these rims w/tires... but still undecided. Would appreciate feedback of other experiences with Interco , Bulldog or similar? All of mine to date have been positive. I do have a Ranch suspension upgrade and have enhanced my spring configuration and power-steering dampener (suspension and steering work completed by Orange County Suspension, Orlando, Florida 32806 some years back.

I agree with the previous posters on the 8 wide rim. I have no scientific proof but I think the 12.5 tires keep the bead on an 8" wide rim than a 10". I know when home dismounting and mounting tires, the beads seat MUCH easier and faster on the 8" wide rim that the 10". With that in mind, it makes me think the 8' wheel must be much better at keeping the bead seated at 9-12 psi than a 10" rim.

That said, they do make deep offset 8' wheels like mine.
