I have been trying to find the DIY full float conversion tech writeup but the links I've been able to find are broken. Anyone know how to access it?

Cool, thanks. Saved it to my favorites. I'll try that trick when I'm looking from now on.

    Thanks- John

I was thinking about doing the same thing and use Herms kit. But I the only real way to know how many splines your axles have is to break them down? Or are there certain years that had 10, 19, and 30 spline axle shafts? And if the spider gears are 10 spline where can a new set of spider gears that are 19 or 30 spline be purchased?

Spider gears are available through most venders. for about 100-150. Why not up grade to a Posi. I purchased a Dana Track Lock from Drive Train Super Store for well under $300 including shipping. I purchased the axles and hubs from Herm. Herm also has a complete kit for 30 spline axles.
