Willy's pickup front clip on CJ....

 

I like it. Looks appropriate and sets it apart from everybody else.

 

I love it I also love this one , commando front clip

 

I like both. But prefere the Willy's.

 

Anyone have any pics/ or have seen one ? of a a willy s 3a front clip on a cj5 tub

I like the Willys PU on the front of a CJ, but the Commando and even the Willys front clip need to be on a longer wheelbase thatnan ECJ5, IMHO. That Willys/CJ looks to be a CJ6, and the length and front clip look appropriate, like the CJ6 or CJ8.

 

It is on a CJ6. I have a guy I know with a front clip from an old willys pickup and I was considering putting it on the 82 Jambo.

 

Ehh. Doesn't do anything for me.

 

Seems to me we had a member here with a similar front clip on his rig. Black I believe and from the San Diego area.

 

Same here. To me, it's just extra weight.

And as to a 3A clip on a CJ 5? Something about the 3A (or any flatty) being about 17" more narrow at the front that is just going to be ugly as hell mated to the wider CJ 5/6 tub.

 

I like the willys front. I'd do that to my CJ6 if I could find all the parts easy and not spend way too much time on fab work to get it to work....

I'd like to see more picts to see how they blended the lines into the jeep.
