I need help from folks who have purchased aftermarket front fenders. I need both front fenders for a 1971 cj5. What companies to stay away from and which ones you would recommend. Thanks for the help in advance.

Stay away from all aftermarket fenders. Try and find some good used oem fenders. Check the "where to buy parts" sticky post or vendors section.
I'd suggest a search on this site as this has been covered a lot and may be educational and helpful for you. Lots of people (including myself) have had bad issues with aftermarket fenders.

I'm pretty sure only one company (MD Juan) is making them for all the distributers.

Postal jeep fenders work as well. You just have to plug the holes in the top.

It would help to put your location in your signature. Then we could better suggest where to look for parts.

Certainly J&W in Antelope CA will have some fenders for you.

Looks like your Jeep already has fenders. What's wrong with the ones you have now? May be better to do a little body work on what you have.

Can you drop in and walk their 10 acres of jeep parts? I will be north of SAC in a couple of weeks

Yes you can. Mark Duncan owns the place. I went to high school with him back in the day.
