So this is what was on my pto shaft to keep it from "whipping" but I have no clue on the placement of it. Does anyone know where this might attach to the Jeep? I originally thought the bell housing bolt but they are too big .

Bell housing would be my guess also. Mine PTO shaft had a bearing hanging off the bellhousing to support it, as do most others installed or maintained by forum members.

I have the bellhousing on but there is nowhere this bracket will fit that I can see :(

When I pulled my PTO off another Jeep at the yard, the bracket that hung the bearing was essentially thing sheet metal bolted to the exterior of the bellhousing dust cover. Will it fit there maybe?

This diagram shows it on the bellhousing but the only place I see where the bracket will fit is the dust cover bolt. May
be thats the spot ? it will make more sense maybe when the engine is in

Looks like your diagram is for a 4 cyl. not a V6.

This is pretty much the only place I can see where it would go

Looks right to me. What is the issue - the bolt diameter? Ream out the mount hole.

Maybe the other way around, though, so that the grease fitting is on the bottom? I dunno....

Which vehicle did your setup come out of? The diagram is for a CJ2 or 3 F4, apart from the fact you have a V6 & according to your sig a CJ5, the setups were different between flatfenders & 5/6's, for example I believe the kits for 5's came with two piece driveshafts.

I'd mount the winch & install your pieces in whatever arrangement works best for your particular setup.

No real issue, the shaft and winch were already off the Jeep before I started it. Just wondering where this could have mounted. I believe this is correct.

    Howard,
I do have the V6, this is the setup that came on it from factory/dealer That diagram was just something I found online. Getting the winch on is my next step. Working on getting the mounting frame built for it
