Jeff, this has actually been under a bit of discussion lately & we're contemplating some changes to that policy. In the meantime we've allowed some members to post announcements in the "Vendor Directory" forum here about products/services they're offering. If you want to have something put in there pointing to the various outfits manufacturing your designs that should be OK- just pm myself or another mod/admin to have them added.

After a bunch of delays (some for good reason, some not so good), I finally got around to doing a final install of this kit on my LJ.

This means that the CJ5 is the most beautiful Jeep existing, the star. This is why I bought mine. The only problem is that it is not a new car, all must be repaired. This is possible with time, but better if you live in USA. All is explained in detail HERE, be careful, it is dangerous :

    Thank you very much.

Here are some functional shots, not long after I finished the install I drove the Jeep to Colorado to give it all a good test offroad :).

Some more playing around I've done with the fiberglass parts... here's a TJ pickup mockup using the Jeepster Commando hood, factory CJ fenders and a factory Commando grille...

    With a soft top:

With the replica Hurst Commando hood scoop and a hardtop:

It's a TJ tub; the rear wall of the tub (below) and the bed (above) are Dinoot fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kits parts. The same Dinoot parts could be used to turn a CJ-7 or YJ into a pickup.

Jeff have you seen the old CJ Extendabeds? I'm not able to post pics but just google extendabed Basically it's a simple box that bolts to the tailgate opening on an old CJ. I'm fairly sure you'd take your tailgate off and attach it to the box. I think there'd be a pretty good market for that product and it sure looks like it'd be easy to make...for you at least.

About a year ago there was an announcement in the new products section of Four Wheeler magazine for a product called Crewbed, which extended the bed of the Wrangler and also made up into a sleeping area with a tent cover. I just checked crewbed.com and there's nothing there anymore, so maybe there wasn't much of a market for it after all :).
