    anybody ever run into this...
my horn brush is getting all mangled.. from what I'm not exactly sure..
im thinking about rebuilding it with perhaps some firmer metal..

the issue is the copper is getting eaten up and contacting the tub wall.. giving me a beep when I don't want it...

Another question that has been bothering me....
How is the copper disk in the horn button meant to function..
I get mine sealed up in the upper lip and the first time I press the horn it unseats.

That's why I'm going with a button on the dash when I take time to do it.

I've had that a time or two myself. I think is due 1 of 2 things, 1) too much end play in the steering shaft, the bushing worn etc. 2) somebody, not knowing that the bush cover plate needs to be removed when the steering wheel/steering shaft is removed from the column.

On a similar note, in the process of rebuilding my Jeep, I took the steering shaft out, removing the copper collar, plastic isolator bushing and the wire to the horn button... and I can't find those pieces! Anyone have these laying about?
