I will keep this short. Need help in deciding which fender option by manufacturer is the best. OMIX vs Crown? OMIX is much more expensive, is it worth the cost? Also, fiberglass option by company called Shell Valley. Anyone familiar with them? I have fiberglass tub and hood so, no issue going with fiberglass fenders which for upstate NY might be the better call anyway. All input is appreciated. Thanks!

I am sure you have looked but if not try to find a good set of used Oem fenders. All of the new ones are crap and paper thin. When I built my 5 I had to use aftermarket cause I could not find used in good shape I had probably had 15 to 20 hours in body work to make them worth any thing. I rhino lined the inside and underneath so it made them much more rigid. They turned out okay but it was a pita. Now anytime I see a good fender I buy it and stick it in the attic in case I need it.

If keeping it original isn't an issue, I'd go fiberglass.

Thanks to all replies. I was afraid that would be the answer on the aftermarket, and the fiberglass makes most sense but more expensive. I have been looking for OEM's for months with no outstanding candidates. Tough to find with no rust and crazy expensive if I do find them clean just because they are "vintage".

I wish I were headed east some time soon. There are a bunch of cheap intermediate body parts on CL right now out here. :(
