How Much Rust Pitting Is Too Much?

    After searching for quite a while, I finally sourced a two hole knuckle from a junk yard. It is not in the best condition though. What do you guys think? Is it still usable?
    (I know I could buy new, but its not really in the budget right now)

    id use that all day long. i see no reason why not. small surface rust it perfectly fine. the mating surfaces all look pretty nice.

    If your concerned, fill the pitting with jb weld and sand smooth.....

    For the seal flange I'd JB Weld, then lap it on something reasonably flat. Or just flat file with a nice broad file.

    Sealing?.........use the std gasket and Silicon..........that's what it's for!
