Wife recently inherited her brothers '69 CJ5, don't think its run since the '80s.
Got the 225 to turn, and then to run!
Now I'm concentrating on the brakes, the pedal doesn't move.
So before I take everything apart, wondered if this is a common problem for jeeps that sit.
Is it more likely a linkage issue, like rust?
Or can a master cylinder stick and stop the pedal from moving?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

Its probably the master cylinder frozen up. There's not much linkage and its usually well worn.

Agreed on the Master Cylinder. This happened to me a few years ago. When the brake fluid isn't changed very often, the presence of water in the brake fluid will rust out the interior of the cylinder walls. Then they become paperweights. I had to replace all 4 wheel cylinders and the master cylinder.

    Thanks folks!
The regular parts stores either don't list one, or only show the single reservoir style.
So, any suggestions on where to look?

Any of the Jeep supply places. Walck's, Quadratrec, Kaiser-Willys, ...etc. Walck's probably has more knowledge and better quality parts than most.
