The previous owner did a heater delete and I keep getting coolant pooling up here. Does this need to be a weep valve or can I just put a brass cap in it?

    You have a coolant leak.

I have a 198 with no heater and that hole is plugged. No weep valve.

Thank you that’s what I figured I’ll get a proper plug this week and stop that leak.

A standard steel pipe plug is all you need . Not 100% percent sure but it should be 1/2” or 3/4”

What's the red heater hose going to?

I have a loop of heater hose that completes the circuit between where the hoses used to go to and from the heater core. I'd like to get rid of it because it looks stupid but, I didn't know if I could just plug those ports off completely, like you have there, or not.

Yep, pipe plug. Looks to me that they just used a temp sensor to plug the port. Another item on the bubba list.

Thanks for the input guys I'll get a pick of where the red hose goes too. It hasn't been leaking so
    i haven't worried too much.
