I'll throw pics of mine in too. The "B" pillar and kickers are the factory offering from a 72-75 CJ5 set about 2" from the back of the tub. The windshield hoop and spreaders are 1 3/4"x .120 DOM material. My windshield hoop is about 1/2" above the windshield and the spreaders have about a 2" hump in them in the center, more to the outside as they are welded to the radius of the hoop. It does fit under my Bestop soft top, but the soft top hoop and spreaders do sit on the spreaders. You can see in the pics. I do plan to put some tube gussets on the outside spreader bars like I had on my flatty. Also I stand 5'9".

Sounds like exactly what I needed. Just to make sure I get it, I spit back my understand of what you said:
    1) Straightedge across the tops of the wheelhouses. (Hmmm on top of the ribs or on the flat areas?)
    2) Measurement from the bottom side of the straightedge to the bottom center of the rollbar is 30 1/4".

My hoop doesn't have a 'crown' across the top, so I'll just do 30 1/4" all the way across. Shouldn't be a problem right?

Is the rollbar angled back at all or just perpendicular to the ground?

    Thank you sir!

I said my measurements are “close” because it began life as a stock (yes, vertical) roll bar from a cj5. I put it in my 3b and built the rest of my cage around it. I eventually cut the angled mounting plates off of it, but with the rest of it being mounted to the frame, the main hoop didn’t move in relation to the body. More abuse ensued, and the body eventually fell apart around it. I was working in a steel fab shop and fabricated a new tub from scratch, but I built it to replicate any measurements I was still able to pull off the old body. So the straightedge was resting on non-stock wheelhouses, but the height of the underside of the hoop in relation to them should be very close to original. It would be great if someone else could chime in with their measurements, just to be sure.

    To recap,
    1. Yes
    2. Yes (at the center-most point)
Yes, it’s perpendicular to the ground.

I've no idea how factory or not my particular bar is, but looks factory made and it's been in there for longer than I've been alive. From the top of the wheel housings it's 30-7/8" to the bottom of the bar, 32-5/8" to the top.
