What is everyone's thoughts on using the bronze bushing or using a bearing. I look on Rockauto to find part numbers and what is possibly available. I see the offer both a bushing and a bearing. What is everyone's thoughts. It is a 225 and a T14 trans.

    Depends on the bearing…
As of late, the quality of parts would force me to say bushing. But 20 years ago, I’d say bearing FTW.

Bearing goes bad....takes out your input shaft.

That would give me a reason to upgrade? Always plan in your next project!

Bushing. Fewer moving parts. The only time there's any relative motion between the crank/flywheel and the trans input shaft is when the the clutch is disengaged; i.e. the pedal is depressed. At all other times the bushing simply helps align the shaft. Some Asian cars omit the bushing/bearing altogether.

Perfect, I'm going with the bushing. Was going to anyway, but wanted to check what others thoughts were.
