Hello. I just purchased what I hope is a Tuxedo Park. It’s got the hood emblem, chrome windshield hinges (under the paint), chrome windshield latches, column shift, 60/40 seat, but is missing the chrome bumpers, tail lights and license plate light. It also came with some hubcaps, but I don’t think they are correct. Serial number is 8322 10825. What month/year was this manufactured? The chart I found on this site starts at 1965 and I did see a post where someone had a May 64 vehicle with 10920 as the serial number, so I imagine mine was maybe March/April ‘64. I will upload some pics but I have to resize them first. Thanks for any help.

Welcome from Michigan. I have a 64 Tux that has been in my family of friends for over 40 years. The Tuxedo Park is a CJ5 A so when you look at the FSM it is a separate column. I call mine a Clone, I painted it Black, Jeep never made a Black Tux. Donny, my friend that had it for 27 years as a plow Jeep at his cabin replaced the factory body with a 71 body that he found, the 64 body was too rusty. He put the column shift and everything Tux back in it, even the 64 hood with the snorkel port back on it. The tailgate was a 71 with Jeep on it. I replaced the floors and hat channels in the body, with 11 gage steel, and reenforced the whole body. My title is a 64 8322 11568, so yours is older than mine, mine is called a STA-WAGON in Michigan. Donny from Fla. will chine in, I hope, He knows everything about the Tuxedo Parks, so any questions he will be able to answer for you. Tuxedo Park parts are hard to find, but they do show up now and then. I re-done my Jeep with a 66 V 6 donor, I put an F 134 motor in it, and used the V 6 axels, 10" brakes and 3:73 gears. I put the V 6 Ross steering box in mine and the large index T 18 TC. I kept the 3 on the tree steering box for it, but wanted the V 6 transfer case, and axels. Good Luck, Rick

Here you go, the earlier chart for Tux’s :)
There’s now reproduction bumpers being made! by JeepsterMan. He’s on FaceBook (if you are not on FaceBook, I can get his info for you)
Your’s is indeed a mid to late April build.

Nice Tux! Your serial number looks like an April ‘64 build month. Look under the 8322 column (post #4). Your original light blue is Sierra Blue, one of four colors for the first two years of the MKlV Tuxes. The blue seats are also correct. If your lucky, those bolts holding the dash to the body should be chrome too. Your Tux originally had chrome bumpers front and rear. The correct hubcaps are full “turbine “style made by Cutlass. Is that another Tux in the background? The red 1/3-2/3 seats were used on white or red Tuxes.

I scratched off some paint and it looks like the dash bolts are also chrome. IMG_1594.jpg

Only the ‘61-‘63 Tuxes got the chrome rim speedo (and sometimes chrome side steps). The column shift MKlV Tuxes got black painted speedo rims.

The chart has been posted on the forum before. I may have a copy in my bag. What’s your serial number? 8322-….

Sorry, I missed you have a CJ6. These Tuxes are one of the more rare Jeeps.
