Was running out of daylight preparing for 2023 ECJ5 Rubicon Run and I needed a quick option to put the windshield down and fasten the bikini top to the rollbar for trail use.

What I did was to sew four "wrap-it" velcro backed straps into the existing top:

Not for on-road use. Strap goes around the rollbar. Can put a ziptie through the grommet and around the tube, also.

These are the 10 inch straps:

The top is too bulky for my sewing maching so this is the best stitch pattern that was possible:

I also attached an elastic cargo net for some extra storage space between the top and rollbar:

If I could improve the design, I would want to take up the slack against the rollbar. Overall, it worked fine on the trail.

This was a great idea for the light, smaller items!

Using the bungee net and soft top is genius.

Thanks...bungee cargo net idea was a thingy I saw in a 4wd magazine/video episode that I had watched years ago. Velcro strap idea was because I don't like snaps and I had nothing else with velcro but wrap-its.
