My 73 cj5 to cj6 conversion has year correct external wiper motor. Is there a gasket to buy for the cover that I am not seeing or do I just need to use Rtv to seal it to the windshield frame?

How are you sealing the cover to the frame?

    Thanks ahead if time!

I recently removed the cover on my 74 for the first time since it was factory installed. All that was under there was a white calking of some kind. no gasket at all. The calk looked the same as what was under the trans tunnel cover.

Mortite is a good substitute for that: https://www.amazon.com/Mortite-Weatherstrip-And-Caulking-Cord/dp/B0044UR7AS

    Home Depot has similar stuff.

Seal? Uh...... I don't think the one on my CJ has ever been sealed, it certainly wasn't when I bought it.

I used plumber's pipe dope. The gray material with a paste consistency. When I took the cover of of my 71 it had material that looked like pipe dope sealing it, it seems to seal well.
