    you guys are funny

ok, hear me out~ I'm thinking to put this current running engine back together with new seals of course, timing chain, maybe put main bearings in it, clean it up, leave the cam alone. put the two barrel manifold back on it as I'll never use it. Put it back on the engine run stand, hopefully sell it for something as it will be a true running engine. I know 318's aren't worth a whole lot. Kind of strange, but I've had some "educational fun" with the poor little engine :D
    This manifold:

This is the other engine out of the 73 Challenger. It doesn't have the smog heads and it was a running engine. I'd send it off to be overhauled and use it. and use the Edelbrock manifold on it. Then back to the same question

    That's about it

Nothing wrong with a 318.. I'll take it over a comparable SBC any day..

Is the Challenger engine also a 318? Question relevant to cam choice as you are doing a rebuild.

Yes 318, other questions I was asked, height of rear tires (have no idea), diff is 2:47, automatic, that’s all I can think of at the moment.
NorCal gave this link. Was more involved

All I need to do now is install the intake manifold. I have a question please ~ when I went to prime the oil pump via a shaft going to the oil pump~ turning the shaft with my drill~ oil squirted me from #1 cylinder/lifter like a strong stream shooting upwards about a foot or more. With the spark plugs removed, I turned the crank a little bit, and ran the drill at a slower pace to get oil to the rockers, as long as I kept the oil pressure at about 30-40psi, it was ok, it looked normal. Is this a problem?

Otherwise: new main bearings, timing chain, casting/freeze plugs, rear main seal, front seal, prettied the engine up, probably forgetting something , I did enjoy the process (y)

Waiting on an intake manifold gasket:(

The oil problem may have been the relationship of the lifter in the bore, as in lifter at the top. Things we
don't normally see as the intake manifold is on?

This is the somewhat of refresh engine you are showing that had good oil pressure on the engine stand?
If so, you should be good to go.

Yes, it’s not a true refresh, you know but is the engine on the run stand, again;)

Yeah, I have been going slow at this particular project, be a year this coming April:( Gary did ask me to slow down, not finish so quickly, make it last a while. It is an expensive hobby and I do get a little guilt trip especially when buying stuff and I haven't even started really . Once I get the body sandblasted, things will start happening more quickly~ I went by the blaster yesterday, and they are just way behind because of the recent rain which really puts them behind. But I have been having fun with the engine, or I should say engines , and that's what it's all about~ right? Having fun :D, I do like to be a little entertaining and don't want to lose my followers from being boring

    :D:D:D
This is where the body is right now and there's more underneath it not shown in the picture.

Funny but you made me think of a passable local youtube content creator. Pretty sure most of the subscribers don't know. Does a lot
of restorations and restomods using OEM parts when possible and is very detail oriented. That is the part I am interested in. Don't know if you have seen
the channel. I find some of it entertaining. Sarah-n-Tuned is the channel.

I believe that Dart is a 64, supposedly when they came out with the 273 V-8, before were all slant 6's. Actually I wish I had gone with the '64 as the firewall in it accepts the V8 which a big difference is the wiper motor on the '63 protrudes into the engine compartment. I have to modify my firewall:( see pic below;) Well, you can't miss the pic
