Not only do I know little about jeeps, I also know very little about technology. I believe the word is LUDDITE. Can someone help me add photos to my posts using photos on my iPad.

Thanks Super Dave for the link. I think it will help. I search everything before I ask. Even basic or obvious searches don’t yield results. I know you guys get tired of answering the same questions. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. For instance how did you search to get the link you forwarded to me?

Photo posting is a trick here...it's a common Q. I just remembered it's in the Help section.
You don't have to use this site for storage.

Here’s how I post pics using my iPhone:

    1. Go to iPhone settings and turn iMessage feature off
    2. Take picture
    3. Text the picture to yourself (to your phone number)
4 go to text message you just received
5 copy photo from text message
6 past picture in the desired forum message
    7 post the message

this doesn’t require any kind of hosting service

    here’s an example

I'm not familiar with an I pad, but there should be a way to reduce the size of the picture once it's been taken.
You need to get it under 1MB in size, then you can post it directly, using the "upload a file" button.

Here’s what I do from my iPhone. Not sure if iPad is the same:
    - click “upload a file”
-click choose file and then photo library if using an existing photo or take photo if you’re going to take a new photo

    IMG_1005.jpeg

Scroll thru and find the photo you want.
    -click actual size
-select a relatively small size (medium seems to always work for me
    -click done

    IMG_1006.jpeg

And bam! There’s your photo: IMG_1534.jpeg

Here is how I do it.
    _Take photo with phone
-connect phone to lap top via cable.
-phone will ask if it' ok to allow access for connected laptop, click ok.
-open personal photo storage app on laptop, click on "import photos" your photo should load onto your laptop.
    - left click on your new photo, it should pop-up quite large, then rght cick on the photo it will open a menu of options, click, "open with Paint", then "resize photo" then resize to 600x800 and cick on the save botton, It should as where you want it saved to, click on save to my desk top page.
Open ECJ5, type message, down size ecj5 off to one side still showing your message. You should be able to see your down loaded photo on the exposed desktop page.
_click on the photo and drag it over onto our open message and release, poof it is there. Click on "show as a full size image" then post message.

A bit of practice and you can do it in 15 seconds.

This is all baffling to me, a Luddite and proud of it.

I just drag and drop my photos from my MacBook Air. Sometimes I need to reduce the size, which takes about three clicks from the desktop menu.

This must be a new feature of the software? or is it just being added to our media storage?

Awhile back there was discussion about non-stored images.
I think they still count against your 100 meg storage limit. One problem, there's no way to delete those images. They're stuck without access.
If this situation has changed or I'm not remembering correctly, please let me know.
It's so easy to pirate images like this and not store them first!
