I am in the process of this swap. I have transmission and transfer case in. Novak kit. I ended up "frenching" the transmission mount into the cross member meaning I cut a hole big enough for the mount to pass through the cross member and then welded a plate to the bottom to bolt it to. I did this because the cross member was going to need huge spacers and be close to the ground. This got the cross member back to bolting straight to the frame.

My fan is square to the radiator. The front drive shaft is 1" higher at the transfer case than the axle. The rear drive shaft is an 1" lower at the transfer case than the axle so it is reverse angle than normal. Angle of the yokes are equal so it should not vibrate. Bigger issue is the emergency brake drum is the same height off the ground as the rear diff. This is all due to the increased length of everything and the angle of the drive line it ends up closer to the ground.

So, what do folks do? Remove the emergency brake and add them at the wheels (leaning toward this)? Is there some way everyone is raising the driveline? I think the valve covers will get super close to the fire wall doing this. Just looking for ideas and advice for those that have done this. I'll probably call Novak too.

    Thanks

Is this a stock 225 engine?
It really sounds like the whole drivetrain is too low in the frame.

I’ll loosen the motor mounts tomorrow and jack it up. The engine mounts are far forward so a little change in the front will be big in the back. I think I got tired/needed time to think about it

Put an angle finder on the engine. You want to keep your driveline slope at a max of 3 degrees. Your ebrake shouldn't be that low. A mild body lift or trans tunnel work could be in order.

What type of adapter did you use? Is the transfer case “clockable” on the adapter, meaning is there a series of tapped holes to allow the t-case to be adjusted counter clock wise to gain ground clearance. I have a turbo 400 in mine and the transfer case is right up against the floor.
