Does anyone have any experience with the universal alternator mounting kit A200?
I've got a Delco 10SI 63amp to put into my '61 CJ5. I put the lower mounting kit together with the alternator on it. Bolted it to the generator mounting bracket, and it seems to be quite awkward.
Also, the battery tray is in the way of putting any type of tension on the belt. Has anyone experienced this? What's the best way to correct this, by moving the battery tray to the firewall, or a getting slightly shorter belt?
Any new advice on mounting this?
I'm considering the Willys Works lower mounting bracket, however they're behind on manufacturing right now - appx. 2 weeks.

Can you weld / fab skills?

    I have those capabilities.
I've been examining all the threads for the last two weeks concerning this issue. I can't seem to find the schematics for the Willys Works type bracket, or any input on the universal bracket.

Done out of aluminum, 'cuz that's what I had at the time. Please don't mind the seagull welds, not pretty, but they work.

Hint, with the passenger fender off, it's MUCH easier to install/set up.

These are cool diagrams, unfortunately I had already performed this task before finding this sight.
I took a bumper bracket from a newer dodge truck, worked it with a chopsaw and a grinder, and then added on an chrome alternator bracket from Moroso. Worked great for me.
