I have a Ramsey winch set up that I remove from a CJ3a. The winch
is 8000#, 22 inches overall width, with a 14 inch drum. Front pto
shaft is around 60 inches long. The PTO unit, also a Ramsey unit, has
DPTO FC 150-1 cast into the housing and DPTO FC 150-2 on the rear cover. Is this set up the correct one for a CJ or is it for the pickup?
This is part of the stuff I collected for a CJ project and I don't want to misrepresent it before I sell it. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Only references to Ramsey PTOs with "DP" & "FC-150" is for a DP1-150. This is a dual output with remote control levers designed for the FC series vehicles. There was also a single output version labled "PT1-150"

    relavent link HERE.

Yup, thats the "remote" control version for FC trucks. The "regular" dual PTOs are very desireable & fetch quite a bit of money on EBay, $250 ain't unheard of. I think it would be relativly easy to fab up proper shifter levers for your unit. Wish I had the money right now to make you an offer

The winches seem to go for about $200 or so.

Not much of a market for the drive shaft, might be worth $25.

Don't know if the bumper is worth anything to anyone or not.

    Phil,

You say you removed this from a CJ3A... Was the drive shaft connected to the winch or was it just included with the Jeep?

The reason I ask is that the angle of the front drive is really to steep for a CJ and should interfere with the steering.

I have some pictures of various PTOs on my little site with some pdf documents toward the end. The only Ramsey PTO I have is the correct one for a CJ: http://48cj2a.com/PTOs.htm

Here is aside by side comparison. Steep angle is CJ application. The other is Pickup/Wagon. FC's are remote shift and have a small lever or offset lever for cable actuation.
