Calling this one "Cream Puff" for now, for obvious reasons. Not a lot to do on this one. Just need to get the ol' buffer out. Might spring for some of that high-dollar color-matched wax to really show it's true lustre. R)

Of course, the girlfriend doesn't share my optimistic appraisal of the situation. I can't figure out why. What do they know, anyway? R)

I wish I had time, too. I usually wait for the kids to go to bed, then I get to go to the garage for a bit. Other than a few periods of frenzied activity, the orange jeep was built almost entirely one hour at a time.

Looks like that color matched wax made the body fall off. Let us know what brand it is so we won't buy any of it.

I'm sure it is going to looks as nice as your last rebuild. Great work.

You're a brave, brave man! I had my 5 shipped from SC to avoid that kind of rust.

Best of luck... I'm looking forward to following your progress.

Meh. You guys are not squinting enough. What do you want, like floor pans or something in your jeeps? Over-rated. R)

Did you all know that little ol' Lawrence has a blasting and powder coating shop? Neither did I, and I live here. I promised myself after I blasted my '70 that I'd NEVER do that again. I really wish I'd known about this place 4 or 5 months ago. Dropped off the frame, a set of wheels, and some brackets tonight. Said they'd be ready tomorrow afternoon!!

Going to epoxy it. With humidity hovering around 90% right now, it's a race to beat the rust.

Got this done for slightly less than it cost me to do it myself.

That's nice Clint...I may look into doing that to Kahuna when I get to that point now that I've seen yours. May have to check into the cost of powdercoat as well;)

Frame and some other parts are in primer. Started a little work on the tub tonight. Haven't even vac'd out the garage from the work on the '70 yet, and already here again:

Had some really nice weather over the Labor Day weekend, so spent some time in the driveway working on the frame and wheels. There was a little more pitting on the frame than I was hoping for, so ended up spraying a couple coats of surfacer and sanding it all down. Ended up with the first coat of black on the frame by the end of the day, but too dark to get a pic.
